I’m so ready to be festive (my place is already cobweb decorated!) & my snacks are full of Fall flavor! One of the best party classics are rice crispy treats - but we’re making them without the dairy & extra sugar!
So far, my fav tried & true vegan/dairy-free baking goods are always @enjoylifefoods chocolate & @mydandies marshmallows 🍫
What do you like to use when you bake?😋🎃
What You Need:
2 tbsp. @earthbalance dairy-free butter
1 1/2 tbsp. ground cinnamon
3 cups rice crispy cereal
3 tbsp @enjoylifefoods chocolate chips
1/2 bag @mydandies marshmallows (4.5 oz.)
1 tbsp. melted coconut oil
Cooking:
Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
In a medium sized pot, melt the @earthbalance butter. Once melted, stir in the marshmallows and cook over medium-low heat until the marshmallows are melted and smooth. Keep stirring constant to prevent burning & sticking to the bottom!
Pour the melted marshmallows over the rice crispy cereal in a large bowl and stir (or use your hands) until everything is combined. Add the cinnamon & continue to combine.
Using oiled hands, press the rice crispy mixture into the prepared pan and set aside to cool.
To make the chocolate drizzle, in a small bowl add the @enjoylifefoods chocolate chips & coconut oil & melt for 25 sec (stop to stir), then again for 35 sec.
Use a spoon to lightly drizzle chocolate over rice crispy into pattern of choice. Cool rice crispies for 30 min - 1 hour.
